Microsoft announced Friday that its Recall feature is now widely available across its AI-enabled PC lineup, following months of delays and key security updates.

Why it matters: Originally introduced in May 2024, Recall allows users to effortlessly retrieve anything they've viewed on their PC by capturing frequent screen snapshots. It was designed to be the standout feature of the first-generation Copilot+ PCs released last year.

Latest update: Microsoft confirmed that Recall is now accessible via a free, downloadable update for all Copilot+ PCs, regardless of whether they run Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processors.
